Esau's World Demo Released!

I am floored to finally, FINALLY release the demo of my first ever published game, Esau's World!

Esau's World is an AI-based puzzle platformer of reconnection. Reunite with your brother Esau, learn to rely on each other to puzzle in tandem, solving co-op puzzles in single-player mode, and mend the relationship of a broken family.

I started work on Esau's World in August 2023, after winning an award at Hype Jam 2023, a game jam for making trailers. You can see the original trailer here. A lot's changed, but I'm still just as passionate about finishing my first ever published game!

What's the Goal with this Demo?

The goal of this demo is to build up an audience before going to steam. Steam's Algorithm only responds to games that get a lot of wishlists, so I want to hit the market with some momentum! The goal is to get 500 followers. It's a big goal, but I know it's possible!

What comes next?

Well, if we reach our goal of 500 followers, we'll be porting to Steam! There's a game festival, the Cerebral Puzzle Game fest coming up. If we get enough followers, I'll release the second level in a new demo for the festival!

Where is the game going after this?

Right now, Esau follows you, which is a good start, but I'm planning on adding some more intelligent ways of cooperation. Can't say too much yet, but it's going to change the game in a big way!
